Video: The Nats fall, but Wilson Ramos returnsPosted on June 27, 2014 by Andrew Bailey
The Nats fell to the Chicago Cubs last night 5-3 and you could argue that the fault lies on base running.
Facing a 3-1 deficit in the seventh inning, Denard Span ripped a game-tying double into right field. However, he made a wide turn rounding second and was tagged out, turning a runner on second with just one out into a bases empty, two out situation.
Earlier in the game, Wilson Ramos -- in his first action since June 10 -- connected on a single but Ryan Zimmerman was thrown out at home plate.
For the evening, Ramos went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a walk.
